I recently stumbled upon this piece of information. As the info is not from Ace or DeepSpar directly, it is hard to tell how valid it is.
http://groups.google.com/group/datareco ... 72f66514d#If this is true, the price difference between a basic PC-3000 and a full suite of SD HD Doctors will end up not being
that big...

I saw that too & emailed Deepspar to enquire but they are only allowed to sell the PC3K line of products to Canada & USA.
I emailed AceLab & was told "there was no drop in prices for PC3000. The only change that was done was for North America, Now North America can buy at the same prices as which European & other countries buy at."
I did get a quote & PC3000 UDMA with Data Extractor is about £5,500 inc VAT

We bought a few last year, we got 12 of them in one order, and got a discount. Worked out each PC3K + DE cost around 4,600 EUR each

Yes, the price reduction is targeted to get North American prices in line with the rest of the world. As I see it, it poses a big challenge to Atola Insight, which is now $2000 more than PC3000 with DE. Knowing that PC3000 can do a lot more than Atola, it should be interesting to see how Atola responds.
It has been a long time since I priced SD HD Doctors, what is the going price for the HD Doctor Suite these days?
