My data recovery business could really use a device like this, but I'm hesitant to send away 2196 euros (about 3000 USD) just like that, without even knowing if I'll get the device at all. I'm not trying to question the company that's making the device, and I have no reason to, but still. It's a lot of money. What do you think?

Is this btw the right email address? sales3 (at) acelab.ru

I'm asking so that I dont fall into the trap of some kind of elaborate scam or something.

Something else I noticed - two different domains: www.pc-3000flash.com and www.pc3000flash.com. Is it just that they own both domains or is one of them pretending to be the real deal?

You can trust the email and the purchase from Russia. If you are in North America, you can make the purchase from DeepSpar in Ottawa, if you'd prefer not to deal directly with AceLaboratory in Russia.

Lars,

I think you can trust in Acelab people. We did it serveral times and had no problem with them.

acelab.ru or acelaboratory.com are totally legit. Transactions and delivery can be slow so be patient.

€2196 doesn't sound right though, what exactly are you ordering? Whatever you do, don't by PC3K without Data Extractor.

I'm ordering a PC-3000 Flash (SSD Edition). As far as I understand from their email this is all I need(?). They say that I can begin recovering data as soon as I get the device.

Looks like op is interested in Flash PC3000 only, so probably is about right.

Yes, only the flash reader.

I btw had it confirmed with the company, so all good.

Thanks! :)

Ive had no issues buying from acelab.
Am off on their training courses in a weeks time.

Out of curiosity anyone else bought from them in the uk?
Got my PC3000 UDMA & PC3000 Flash SSD & so for have not been asked to pay any duty or tax?
Maybe I got lucky so far cos it was paid in Euros? If so thats a saving of about £1200 :D

It's not always as simple as that. In some cases the software will do everything but in most cases, you will need serious knowledge about data structure.
Flash data recovery is not the same as HDD data recovery.
