I updated ATA after seftcan by hd doctor seagate.

That's what exactly I was thinking : broken firmware. Also, most probably the drive makes a strange sound when you get this error when starting.
The problem is the SD tool that doesn't work properly. Also, you have to re-do everything from scratch.
NOTE : if the drive was actually a MAXTOR (STM not ST) there's another issue added and again there's nothing you can do with that "tool".

P.S. this is the PC3000 support section, not SD.

If you put back ATA overlay with SD box on NH / NH2+ it will screw the SA.That's what exactly happened after SS.

You don't own a SD box, right ?

P.S. it doesn't take 2 days.
