WD drive hangs if reading at high speed

I have a WD Spider drive that acts normally if you read at a slow pace (< 50KB/sec)

If I try to read any faster, the drive locks, and I must do either a hardware reset of power cycle to continue reading.

Any help is a appreciated

I am not an expert but Did you try WD SLOW READING Solution ???
It should solve your problem
