Hi

I got a HD253GJ with a problem on the PCB (it wouldn't spin up the platters).
So I ordered a donor 3 months apart of date of manufacture.
I have made a hot swap, but I get this terminal.
This means Head is dead, right?
Thanks

Why? Wouldn't you just need to transfer the patient ROM to the donor PCB?

if you read rom of patient and donor and compare the dump info you will have the answer

Why you do hotswap and not just swap rom from patient to donor pcb?

Alternatively, you can use donor pcb directly and write overlays without swapping rom.
