Hello guys,

I have the following error with PC3K UDMA : "S/N Reading error:I/N mumber read error. Read command sending error. HW CODE: FF"

It happened since last upgrade when I start up the software. I must say it already happened a few months ago and that the only solution I could find to make it work at the time was to reinstall the whole OS (Windows 7 32bits).
I asked Acelabs at the time for this error but I couldn't get any satisfying answer.

Now that it happens again, I wish I wouldn't have to lose all day to eventually make it work by reinstalling Windows over and over again.

For the moment, I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it but the same message appears and break the installation process.

Has this ever happened to anybody ? Was any stable solution found out ?

Thanks a lot for your advice !

HDD and RAM were tested ok.

Actually this time, I only had to reboot the computer. Installation then went properly so everything is now resolved for the moment.

In the meanwhile, I received an answer from Acelabs (Roman) 5 mns after this post was read by their team and only half an hour after I submitted a ticket. As I think it may be useful as a quick help in the future for any of us, here it is :
Quote:
Please try to uninstall PC-3000 driver, and than - reboot your PC. After that you should launch PC-3000 setup and install new version of driver with software.

I hope it can help !
