head test only availabe on wd drives in pc300 utility but i don't know why you test head on pc3000 its alternative availabe wdr |

Instead of using non legitimate products commercially , connect serial adapater to Seagate Drives & using terminal commands you can check resistance. >1 /7 >7/ X |
