Hello,

I have a 1TB WD My Book that it is recognized on PC3000, all the heads passed the head test but when doing image with selective heads, one of the heads it is not working. AS the disk is encripted I did the image with the remaining 5 heads to a Seagate 1TB. When finished I connected the Seagate to the encripted adapter that came with the original WD disk but it doesn´t work ....
Is it because it is a Seagate disk ????

Any ideas???

you need to clone it to another WD, you can't decrypted if clone to any other manufacturer HDD, must be a WD

Not necessarily.

First thing to check is that the target drive is EXACTLY the same size. I.e. Same number of sectors.

If you've cloned to a larger drive, you'll need to HPA cut to the same as the original.

Why is this?

The bridge firmware looks for a "key sector" near the end of the drive. This sector is required for decryption.
