Hello, i need help! Customer has 1TB FAT32 drive, 12 inaccessible sectors around the FAT means i have to run a full analysis. Of the 2 billion sectors i get to about 38million and recieve these errors: Code: FAT Folder at LBA= 38 686 307 FAT Folder at LBA= 38 703 843 FAT Folder at LBA= 38 714 595 FAT Folder at LBA= 38 781 603 [EOleException] TFDA_Analizer.FindFsObj -> Out of memory FAT Folder at LBA= 38 787 235 [EOutOfMemory] TFDA_Analizer.FindFsObj -> Out of memory FAT Folder at LBA= 38 787 299 [EOutOfMemory] TFDA_Analizer.FindFsObj -> Out of memory FAT Folder at LBA= 38 809 635 [EOutOfMemory] TFDA_Analizer.FindFsObj -> Out of memory FAT Folder at LBA= 38 812 643 [EOutOfMemory] TFDA_Analizer.FindFsObj -> Out of memory FAT Folder at LBA= 38 817 187 [EOutOfMemory] TFDA_Analizer.FindFsObj -> Out of memory FAT Folder at LBA= 38 817 251 [EOutOfMemory] TFDA_Analizer.FindFsObj -> Out of memory FAT Folder at LBA= 38 824 483 [EOutOfMemory] TFDA_Analizer.FindFsObj -> Out of memory ===================================================== [12/13/2014 3:43:11 PM] Quick disk analysis (complete) ===================================================== [EOleException] TFDA_AnalizeThread.InternalExcecute -> Storage stream saving error (code 5) : Out of memory (before exec) Task parameters saving: 12/13/2014 3:48:20 PM Out of memory! Well it could be true, i have only 4GB of RAM and 8GB of paged memory as a backup. After running the scan again i observe PC3000Kernel uses about 1.7GB of RAM before this error occurs, but still does not fill all of my RAM space.. Should also mentioned i have imaged the entire drive and was running ^^this scan from the image i made, BUT i observed the exact same error when just analyzing the disk directly! Helpful advice would be greatly appreciated! BAD NEWS: Customer is headed out on holiday tomorrow, i told them i could get it done in time.. did not foresee this bullsh1t! haha! |

After the final error message, the RAM usage doesn't drop! PC3000Kernel.exe keeps holding onto 1.6GB of RAM. When i try to exit, it says PC3000Kernel.exe has crashed, and gives the following crash report: Code: Problem signature:

Upon trying to shut it down. PC3000Kernel.exe freezes! Windows explorer asks me if i want it shut down. I say yes, this new error message then shows (see attached) and it fails to close!! I'm forced to execute process.. ugly.

It is probably a bug with the software, your quickest option is probably to scan the image with other data recovery software, such as R-Studio. Unless anyone knows a workaround for the bug; are you running the latest version of the software? Also, is the application 32-bit or 64-bit? http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... ory_limits It may not be able to use more than 2GB of RAM. |

Thanks for the good advice! I'll try RStudio today. My PC3000 kernel is located in: C:\Program Files (x86)\ACE Lab\PC-3000\Bin\PC3000Kernel.exe Besides me having a x64 system. So it seems i have a 32-bit version of PC3000 installed? Unfortunately i can't see a 64-bit alternative on the official update server. :S
