Post subject:  DDI to DE Map Conversion

Hi

I see in the DDI DRE that you can convert a DDI map to a DE map. It saves the file as a .bin file. How do I open this in DE? I presume I have to create a new task to create a new .prm file, but at what point do I insert the .bin file? This drive has been imaging on the DDI for some time so I don't want to risk messing anything up.

You create the new task, close your task and manually copy the bin file from DRE to task folder. Open task again.
That's all

This gives me an 'access violation error'.
I created a new task (copy)
Selected the DDI destination drive as the DE destination
Closed down the task
Inserted the .bin file into the task
Reopened the task
Get access violation error
Any ideas?

Try to select Map type as "Binary file" in DE copy task options.
