Is your motherboard a GigaByte motherboard with an Xpress Recovery BIOS ?

Nothing wrong. I'm trying to help you out in the best way that i know/can.

You can allways post on ACE forum and contact ACE support, i guess.

If you find the option to turn off / check Host Protected Area on the universal utility fell free to check there if you have Host Protected Area limiting your LBA access / enumeration.

Victoria 4.46b gives me [ATA protocol] DRQ!!! Press RESET or restart HDD!
Victoria 4.43 gives me Waiting of readiness... Drive not ready!
Tried resting, restarting and even a known good hard drive, Same result. Tried the two ace ports that showed up.

I think we might need to buy Data Extractor.

I've just successfully replaced the heads (HARCHV2AAB) with a donor (HARCHV2ABB). Looks like the heads test is still failed of heads 2 through 7. Don't think its faulty heads.

Needless to say i didn't even notice that the post was from you and answer to it as if it was a post from the user with the WD drive problem.
Sorry if it looked like a bit rude.
Sorry to both of you, guys...

No worries. :) It looks like the heads were OK. Do you think it's back to a module 02 corruption?

There is no logic reason for thd drive to report one capacity on BIOS and another on PC3K apart from a BIOS/Motherboard issue.

If the pc3k universal utility picks the correct size and can scan thd drive then the incorrect capacity have to be BIOS/Motherboard related.

On victoria chose the first pc3k port and try the reset option, the power option and the passport option.

Does it still says the drive is in data request state ?

Can you scan the drive with pc3k universal utility ?

It's not very likely that pc3k would mess mod02 and if so the drive wouldn't be detected with correct capacity by pc3k.

Try to scan the drive with pc3k universal utility. Does it scan ? If you scan in reverse or near the end of the drive does it scan as well ?

you can try to restore mod02 from backup (if you have one) or from a donnor drive/firmware of the same model/capacity and see if BIOS can now see the full capacity of the drive. This will revert the "slow fix" as well, as relocation will be on once again.
Also you can try to edit mod02 by hand...
