You'll have to be a lot more specific. What's the full model number (including after the dash)? what's the ROM version?

I don't think this is PC-3000 report.

WD500BMVV should be a 4 heads drive.
I have 1 from 320GB with headmap 0,2,3
let me know if you want ?
