I doubt the info would be of any use to people because most of it requires a PC3000 card or knowledge on how and when to use it. Its just going to screw up more recoveries that would have otherwise been recoverable. Which in turn will probably bring in more recovery money for those who have to clean up someone else's mess.

I thought it was always open to anyone who registered, as is their flash recovery forum.

I'm happy to see it open. Luke, I seem to recall that one had to provide their PC3K serial number/license code or something, but I could be mis-remembering. In any case, this is still potentially helpful to novice DR guys who use MRT, DFL or other tools. They just have to adapt what's provided to their tools. Smart hot swap mod editing detail, is an example. Having browsed many of the posts, however, I'm not as impressed by its usefulness as I was expecting. Most posts are mundane and have have less than 2-3 replies. Nevertheless, ever little bit contributes to one's knowledge and is potentially helpful. It will be useless to a DIYer who hasn't been trying to learn this stuff, IMHO.

Deepspar has been locked down, but I think Ace has been open for some time. Personally I think it should be locked to just those who own it (maybe I'm biased). But as mentioned, it's unlikely to benefit those who don't have the tool that much.

I agree. I'd rather see more participation from ACE employees than people who don't even use their products.

Further my thoughts, I won't let my staff ask technical project related questions in public forums (just as we don't post questions here). It basically removes their forum being used by the more experienced professionals.

A simple way to get product info spead around in the internet ...
The open forum will "trap" some users to buy a "one button solution"
to solve their hdd problem(s) ... or even because they think they can
make a quick and simple biz.

The end will be more Ace customers becoming aware that they even
cant resell their tool ...

Well,
then How Will Professionals Communicate To Each Other We Need To Share Info Also .Secondly They Could Open Some Sections of Thier Forums And Close Others For Actual Users .If We All Raise This Voice Collectively Then They Might Rectify This Decision

Ace forums is not a source for vital information. All of that went pm, im or private years ago.
Trust and relationship is where vital info is shared - but not in forums.

Get a grip, they're not asking you to loan out your PC3K that you burned the midnight oil for.

post count in no way symbolises contributions to the forum, knowledge or anything else. It simply says you have made a lot of posts. It is good advice anyway.. for all we know, they may be a PC3K God!

Haque ,
Might Be i Was Not Clear ,Here is What i Wanted To Say ....

1 : The ACE Forum Was Used By The Best Professionals And The information There Was Only Flowing Between Them .As Now They Open This Why Were We Or for That Matter Others Not Provided The Same Opportunity " You Can Say i Am Crying Like a Baby Lol  "

2 :The ACE Tools Are Not Affordable By Many People Specially People Who Are From Countries Where Data Recovery Pricing Does Not Justify The Cost.In The Long 7 Years i Now Have The Money To Buy a Unit Of UDMA Though i Had The Flash With Me .I Am a Little dissapointed .

PS : i am sure You Can Understand Whats Going in My Head Right Now Anyways
