I have 3 PC3K systems and only one seems to work with a WD2500JS-40TGB0. I discovered this issue before the summer update and it was not resolved with the latest version of PC3K. I almost completely misdiagnosed a project because of the issue and just got lucky that I discovered it.

PC3K Express on Windows 8.1 (64 bit) - stays at BSY (both patient drives and two of my working donor drives)
PC3K UDMA-E on Windows 7 (64 bit) - stays at BSY (both patient drives and two of my working donor drives)
PC3K UDMA on Windows 7 (32 bit) - all drives come ready almost instantly and can be read as they should

Thus far, ACE has not provided a solution and I'm concerned about the upgrade deadline. I don't want to upgrade my last UDMA system if it means that I'm not going to be able to support this drive any more. I know, it is only one model of drive (that I know of), but if I've seen 2 of them in the past 6 months, I'm sure more are still to come.

As all three systems are running the same PC3K release and the only differences between working and not work are the newer version of card and the 64 bit windows. As PC3K software directly communicates to the drive via the card, bypassing Windows, I cannot see how 64 bit windows could prevent the drive from coming ready, which leaves us with the cards.

So, if any of you happen to have a WD2500JS-40TGB0 sitting around and a newer PC3K express card, could you please check and see if it works on your system? If anyone has any other theories why it isn't working, I'd be happy to test them out.

Thanks

Respected Luke ,
I Am Not Very Active These Days on HDDguru Due To The Fact That i Have Got My PC 3000 UDMA Last To Last Month And Now i Have a Cleanroom [ Approx class 1000 that i am struggling to convert to class 100 ] With a Class 100 Laminaar Flow [ So Learning Headswaps And Few Tricks Before i Start This For Clients ] . I have SEEN many of you who keep investing in PC 3000 Again and again .I have Both The Other Actively Developed Tools Like MRT Pro And DFL .I Would Suggest That You Folks Invest in Those Also [ They Are Cheaper And Get The Work Done If Main Job Is Finished By PC3K ] .

Example :

You Have a Section Where You Work With Seagate [ So You Can Buy DFL SRP : All in One And Activate Seagate Firmware Module And Data Extractor Module Called DDP/DE ] Or MRT Pro For That Matter Or Anything Else If That Works .Then You Could Work Dedicatedly On Seagates in That System .

And Luke Could You Try Running The UDMA-e On Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit And Report if You Issue Is Solved .When You Have One Brand Tool Sometimes You Can Get Fooled [ Not When You Have Many As Some Will Definitely Work ] . Let Me Give You a Very Simple Example If You Have Salvation DATA Maxtor Tool You Can Solve Problem Of All Maxtor Drives In The World .So i Sincerely Suggest That Buy Other Tools Also .The DFL WDC Tool Is Also Very Very Nice Can Do Certain Things So Easily .I Saw Many of Your Folks Discussions On Jared Forum And i Am Already Missing You Folks .So Much To Learn From You Seniors Still

PS : As a Respected Senior You Can Contact Me Anytime And i Can Give You a Live Demo Of DFL ,MRT Pro This Month I Have Not Activated I HaVE 2 OF THOSE .
