I have a: WD Green 3.0TB WD30EZRX - 00MMMB0 WWN: 50014EE2066919DA DATE: 24 SEP 2011 DCM: HBRCHT2AAB DCX: 0M08M16M1 Which is not spinning up. After initialising with my PC3000 it shows green registers on: DWF, DRQ and CRR, the 12V power register is red. How might i figure out if this is a motor issue or a PCB issue? This drive belongs to a close friend of mine who lost a bunch of work. |

Durr, probably should have read the manual. CT to A, B, C had Ohm of 0.6-0.9. A-B, B-C, A-C had 1.1-1.7 Ohm. (My meter is not good enough for this!) So the motor seems okay, i will update you all on how the PCB swap goes. |

I find it quite amusing that you work with hard drives (with a drive that won't spinn), electronics and have invested in a quite expensive program like Pc3000, and still don't know why the 12v power register shows red?!? |

Does your manual mention anything about TVS diodes? |
