Hi,

I hope you are doing great.

I have this SSD Storage Micro of 256GB (Lingston Technology) i have connected to a adapter SSD to SATA, it is very hot and PC3000 wont autodetect.

Not sure next steps and it would be great a suggestion.

Thank you for the help.

Best regards,

Hi olinyer, Have you got a picture of it? Which part is getting hot? Main controller, memories?

Best

A photo of the adapter would be advisable, IMHO. It could be that the wrong adapter is being used.

Hello! I can t realize looking at the pictures...but were the memories reworked (unsoldered and re-soldered)?
Only 2 of the 4 memories are getting hot?

Best,

F

Here are photos of the adapter:

The voltage at the tab of U1 (LT1084-33) should be +3.3V.

AFAICT, the SSD (Kingston SMSR150S3/256G mSATA) is a RAID with a separate SSD on each side.

    Elpida EDJ2116DEBG 2Gbit DDR3 SDRAM
    2 x Toshiba TH58TEG8DDJBA82 NAND flash (64GB ?)

The adapter expects to see a single SSD. Therefore I would be very concerned with the pinout. Perhaps it is non-standard? I would determine the ground pins with a multimeter, and also confirm the +3.3V pins by testing for continuity with U1.
