FWIW, ISTR one PCB design where one could reach safe mode by shorting the NAND R/B pin(s) to ground. Can you see NAND solder balls on the other side of the PCB? Perhaps the other side is not populated ...

H27QEGDVEB, SK hynix, 256Gbit, 3.3V, x8, FBGA-132ball, 4MB block, QDP stack, ONFi 3.0:
https://www.skhynix.com/static/filedata ... do?seq=281

Code:
H  = hynix
27 = NAND flash
Q  = power supply   Q = 3.3V/MLC    (S = 1.8V/SLC, U = 3.3V/SLC)
EG = density        EG = 256Gb      (CG/DG/EG/FG/1T/2T/4T = 64G/128G/256G/512G/1T/2T/4Tb)
D  = organisation   D = x8          (8 = x8)
V  = classification
E  = mode
B  = version - 3rd generation
