I don't own pc3000 but I need to know,in hitachi arm when you have no access to user data and you need to load PSHT and RDMT so is other imaging setting are available to work with it ?
Can you choose pio or udma mode and change timeout settings to work with the virtual translator?

It is not loaded as a virtual translator, it is uploaded to the drive, which works more or less normally after that.
