Hi Everyone :)

Please help me.
I got the following drive:
Model : WDC WD50NDZW-11MR8S1
Serial : WD-WX62D51EFKXD
Firmware : 02.01A02
Capacity : 5 TB (9 767 475 632)

I converted the USB only to SATA.
The drive give full recognize and full SA access but doesn't give any sector access.
The firmware is corrupted.
Since the drive is SpyGlass I am afraid to do any translator regeneration or anything else.

I found that 190 module is corrupted or can't be read normally.
Besides of that module all the other modules are ok.

| 0190 | 0 | Ad | 411 924 | 208 488 | No | | | | | Second level translator |
| 0190 | 1 | Ad | 411 924 | 208 488 | No | | | | | Second level translator

Any way to deal with the drive?
I only need to read the file list. That's all.

I attached the report from PC3000

What should I do next?

Best Regards :)

If 190 is bad, I think your best option is read in PBA and do a RAW recovery

When tring to read the tracks I get those error messages:

Physical read error C/H/S: -384/0/66 (1) Device Error Detected: "DM SECTOR OUT OF RANGE"
Physical read error C/H/S: -384/0/67 (1) Device Error Detected: "DM SECTOR OUT OF RANGE"
Physical read error C/H/S: -384/0/68 (1) Device Error Detected: "DM SECTOR OUT OF RANGE"

For the Regions how do I backup those?
Since I can only back up ROM, Modules, SA Tracks, RAM

Best Regards,

Hi,
Ctrl + Alt + 3
Open module 35
Open SA Defect list (edit in memory)
See which cylinders are turned off
Deselect disabled Tracks (Cylinders) when copying
