Hi friends
I am using DE (updated Jan2023). In one of toshiba hard disk having weak head 0 , I am using raw recovery to recover photos and videos only.
When I make " use only marked grep search " files appear but I cannot save ( nothing is saved)
But when I clear use only marked grep all file signatures come and then I can save files.
What is setting that I am missing

Never tried to RAW search on a connected drive. Why not just change the heads first?

If heads is already changed, I would stabilize the and image the drive first, depending on model maybe read via active utility.
If h0 is weak only it is often possible to get META to target imaging on areas containing data or FS.
If FS is not possible run a GREP on the image (work with copy only).

Thanks digisupport
Customer wants only photographs and is having low budget. He said he is happy with whatever recovered using single head only. Mostly MFT's are on head 0 .
I have also observed that unless MFT scan is completed & virtual partition rebuild ,RAW recovert does not work.
