Post subject:  seagate hepburn smp issue

I am stuck up on sysfile 93 as its not getting modified.What could be the issue

Your heads can't write.
Open a non-important sysfile or module and modify a few bytes, try to write them to drive. If it fails -- you have your answer.
If it succeeds, then there is problem to SA area where 93 is located. Fixing 93 is not a big deal, but see if your heads can write first.

You can also try and edit 93 in RAM -- no need to write to SA.

Yes northwind O can't write anything ,heads are damaged. Thanks for pointing out

You can probably still get data if heads can read but not write, but it's always best change to them.

This case does not needs head transplant & can be easily solved by shorting read channels in flat 2 min.
higgsboson something is wrong in your timings. You will have to be quick to press control+Z .

actually, he doesn't even have to short read channel.
