Hi guys,
As these devices are always more often used, the more data recovery services are called to face them for their customers.
But pc3000 solutions are limited to portable III TOOLS, cause other ace tools don't support their protocol.
How have you or will you face this limitation?
Just buying and adding ace portable tool to your to your laboratory tools set, or can we evaluate for some other alternatives?
So, in sinthesys:
1) Can we wait for an ace solution to make PC-3000 Express, or PC-3000 UDMA compatible with this kind of devices?
2) Have we to expect without alternative to buy pc3000 portable tool?
3) We could evaluate buying hardware alternatives from some other company, if available?

Thank you in advance for your kind opinion

DLF URE Plus and USB Stblzr 10G support the hardware. But I assume what you mean is firmware tools?

Sadly there will be no solution for UDMA/Express for nvme. I was thinking that it is insane to buy Portable only for nvmes but finally i did it. Works almost 24/7 as nvmes are a pain to recover data.
Some cases can be recovered with USB Stabilizer but it works in Windows.

And finally with Portable i got my favorite easy mode back to test donors :D

Why do you assume people say one thing and mean something else?

Just buy portable iii and never look back. I had taken a loan against my life insurance (with benefits) policy to buy it. If one knows how to use these tools effectively then repayment of loans is an easy task. I some how feel tools by DDI and ACE are blessed and repay their worth nicely.

I love mine. Just that it suffered power up issues which perhaps Ace has fixed in the new release?

I don't use it 24/7 I just do FW with it and image it with DDI to prolong its life (perhaps my fear). Very few demanding cases that require DE features are done apart from NvMe

You have to have the cases to back it up though. I suspect that is going to be very geographical, I certainly don't see anywhere near enough of the drives with supported controllers to justify that sort of investment. Most ssds I get, both sata and nvme are not supported by either of Aces products and I get the feeling they never will be, Ace appear to be focusing on the more generic budget drives common in the East but they just don't show up here.

Ace Lab stated on December 25, 2023: "ACE Lab's greatest team of top developers are constantly researching, and as a result our new hardware breakthrough PC-3000 technologies are already in production! We can’t wait to share the news with you. Stay tuned!"

Maybe just wait a bit and see what's this new hardware product about. Just saying.
