Post subject:  Seagate 9B V11 family firmware diagnostics
Hi friends
I have got this 4 TB disk , it is giving sector access errors .I have taken resources backup and backed up system files (sysfile 28 can't get copied from terminal)
I am getting errors while disabling background process.
What will be safest steps to follow.

fw does not support writing sysfile thru terminal.
you need to write over ata.

I will give it a try , disk loses ready ness often and I will have to enter utility again , initially it was giving ID but after patching rom it has lost normal detection ,after unlocking , re reading id is required.
I have been advised not to do experimentation with this SED drive as any single mistake may make recovery impossible for a pro also.
I am bit worried though I have backed up everything data is crucial and I don't want to take any risk

I am unable to write sys file 93 by both ATA methods as disk loses readyness , is there anything I am still missing.

Thanks . I am unable to write sysfile 93 bt ATA indirect so background scanning is not disabled. I think issue could in in SA or weak head 0.

Try to patch sysfile 93 that might solve this case.

let me disagree, there are several error codes ending with 81 and 82, each having different meaning.

I can look it online PM me. Looks like defects lists, 1 NGlist defect enough to multifunction full drive.
