This samsung m8E family disk gives fw errors while initializing .
in DE scratching sound comes while reading Head 2 & disk goes to busy state , while I could read using Head 0,1 & 3.
utility head test shows Head 2 ok but gives errors for Head 3
Is this some kind of FW issue as all modules under head 0 are fine.

Initial diagnostics here would have been taking heads out for inspection under microscope.
And most likely change them before powering the drive.

Thanks digisupport
That is right approch ,customer in this case wants only single database file & do not want to to spend money for head transplant.
I want to give it a try on FW level first . If I could conclude whether head2 is indeed bad then there will no option.
