PC3000 Portable 3 fault on Port 0 after 7.7 update
Posted: August 26th, 2025, 10:43
At the start of August I updated to 7.7 on PC3000 Portable 3. Since then a fault has developed on Port 0 for SATA devices. When powering on a SATA device everything is normal, until a 'hard reset' is used.
When 'hard reset' is used all lights on the status register change to the faded colour. The same as if when you power on the port and no device is physically connected. The only method to get PC3000 to recognise the device again is to close all PC3000 software and power off PC3000 Portable 3 at the mains plug, then power on again and relaunch the software.
All, NVMe function on Port 0 still works normally.
Whilst I can't be 100% sure this fault did not exist before 7.7 update, I am fairly certain it did not.
Has anyone else had a similar fault, either before or after 7.7 update?
Thanks,
John
