Sounds like a good idea Amarbir.

I'm up for that.

We also have a PC repair shop, so we "borrow" the F/W from every HDD that comes in!

I agree. Also, a decent way to organize FW as well. Maybe just an FTP?

Will 5GB be enough? I think I've got 6-7 GB.. Or maybe we can just use it for freshly retrieved firmware?

Hi Mates ,
Here You Are Your Wish To Come True .I Will Upload After Sometime As I Am sorting the Data .

Name :ftp.therepairmasters.com
Username :hddguru
Password :FIRMware123 [ Please Remember The Case ]

I Also Wanted To Know One Thing .Many People Just Upload The Entire Database directory. We Should Export And Send That File Here .What Do You Say .This Does Not imply To ISA Users Any way .

Well, I tried uploading some Fujitsu firmware, but it keeps stopping and disconnecting. Are you having problems on your end? Can someone else try to upload?

All I can see is a bunch of empty folders...
Why don't you all upload your database backups? I mean in .PCR format?
I'm gonna do that today.

Umm.. We have a dedicated HDDGURU file server running for years... http://files.hddguru.com :D

It has a 500GB dedicated hard drive and unmetered tier-1 100 mbit bandwidth. :D

If you need any help with it, or if you have a suggestion, just let me know

Maysoft is quite on the track..........

HDDGURU.com is having the responsibility of storing and sharing Firmwares and other stuff almost perfectly. I hope, you guys have visited there and had a glance over the directory structure of files.hddguru.com. Well, there are some nicely organized directories for almost all of the hard drives' families, which contain some practically usable stuff too, with a nice capacity and bandwidth. So, as far as the sharing is concern as the ultimate goal, files.hddguru.com is a perfect place to do it so. If we want, we can start uploading our Firmwares there. As the uploading and downloading procedure is not a nag there (Atleast for me).

And a single suggestion to Maysoft:

Kindly catagorize the Firmwares according to the tool they were extracted with. Because I do no think that everybody here knows to convert or extract the data from one sort of Firmware file to another. So, If you can create new directories for PC3000 PCI, PC3000 ISA and SalvationData, it would be a great improvement.

I think it's great that HDDGuru.com hosts files. However, it makes it difficult to upload an entire database of files. The 'BBS Style' of file hosting may be better suited for requests of specific firmware. But if you have a lot of FW to share, an FTP would be easier.
