Hi guy's, Is there anyone that knows the right jumper settings to safe mode for a WD1600JD Sata? The original manual don't say nothing of this. I've tryed to jumper all 4, but no luck...can't get it into kernel. Regards Bosse |

So as I didn't know for sure and got a successful reading I did not post the solution. There is no point to tell a solution if it's wrong...or is it? But as far as I know and heard, the pcb should be off, and no jumpers on.... Please let me know if anyone got this to work. Cheers Bosse |

I think its problem with PCB because i use 4 jumper to get kernel mode. DF |

Hi, Little rectification... My previous statement was not precise... If drive is *WDC Caviar Cyl32 SATA U can use 4 jumper to get PSV Mode..., but **PC-3000 PCI / PC-3000 UDMA not work with such drive in kernel mode... * Tested on WD1600JD-40GBB2 (Polaris) ** PC-3000 PCI (2.27) / PC-3000 UDMA (3.01) Mikippp |
