Hello everybody.
I got a Mac HDD which is unreadable. PC3K cannot detect Drive ID. Someone else was working on this HDD, I am not even sure if the controller is original.
Checked SA and found few errors, rewrote from copies but there is some strange thing:

In "Utility Status" it shows
NV-RAM ID: V32KA60Á
USAG version: V32KA60A

Quote:
Report on module USAG, "Main module table"
ABA..................................... : 7FE20000
Length (sectors)........................ : 2
Loaded.................................. : Yes
Identified.............................. : Yes

mu-code................................. : V32KA60A
FW Ver code............................. : 8A629828
Incompatible with NV-RAM!

Report on module IDNT, "HDD ID data module"
ABA..................................... : 7FE200A1

Firmware................................ : V32KA60A
Model................................... : Hitachi HDS722580VLAT20

Could anybode send me a correct NV-RAM please? I believe this is the problem
Thanks in advance, Pawel.

Hi Pawel,

It seems that your drive uses the alternate SA.
You should start the utility and then choose 'Switch SA access' to put the NVRam in its original state.
Then repower your drive and start the utility.
Now it should show the correct NVRAM ID.

Regards,

Dobre

Hi Dobre!

I don't know why it wouldn't work previously when I tried but it did this time.

Best regards and big thanks.
Pawel
