Post subject:  ST3500630A Error: ERR App Code incompatible SFL code

Hi,

After a head swap on a Seagate 7200.10 ST3500630A i get the following in the terminal:

4096k x 32 DRAM
GALAXY - 1_Disk S-6D 09-22-06_15:48

Buzz HM SFI
!
ERR Read App Code

Then i try to read the code using the terminal commands, and this gives:

F>R
Code - A6 Track 15CC4.0.238 Sns FFF
F>j
ERR App Code incompatible SFL code

I tried with different boards, but i always get the same SFL error.

Anybody who can help ?

Thanks in advance,

Dobre

Application code has read errors or PCB is not original

I used an identical drive, same partnr, same site code.
Only difference is patient has FW 3.AAD and donor 3.AAE but that should not be the cause.

Did you write original ROM into donor's PCB?

Hi Doomer,

I use the original PCB, since that has no problems.
However, this disk has been with another company before, and there is the writing "SPARE 160" on it. So i guess they changed the pcb.
I'm contacting my client so he can ask for the original pcb.

I have same output in Terminal after issueing R and j, produces same output like yours.

PCB is original.
How to resolve this?
