hello,
I have WD1600BB-00GUC0 with 0 head defective,I tried to disable it but after disabling it drive can't read or write SA tracks.
I found this problem in disconnecting head 0 on this family only in WD drives.

for example WD1600BB-00GUC0 has 4 heads from 6 when I disconnected head 0 there is 3 heads from 6
the worked heads is 1 4 5
but drive hanged when logged in pc3000 WD program or salvationdata WD doctor

In this family you can disconnect any heads, except head 0 and 1 .
