Hi all! :)

Here is thebeppevr from NORTHERN Italy, hope you will understand my english! 8)

Pls, HELP :!:
I have a WD3000JS, connected via S-ATA2 to an Asus P5K3 Motherboard, not used as startup/SO device, but as storage HDD in WinXP pro SP2. I have NOT any virus, nor other programs working in background, the system software is simply, clean and fine working.

The problem:
When I open the HDD folder on the WD3000JS (T: in this case) the op system PAUSE itself for 'bout 10seconds. Then opens the folder  . If I open a sub-folder in that hdd the sub folder opens quickly but when I try to go back to the previsious folder... 10 seconds wait. DAMN! If I copy an amount of files to that HDD (it's a backup device) it works fine, quick fast. But if I close it's folder then reopen... 10 seconds...

The HDD is correctly installed in the OS, automatically detected and no modifications done. If I try a different HDD on the SAME SATA CABLE it works correctly without time to wait. Even if it (the WD3000JS) on another PC it do THE SAME. 10 seconds wait.

HOW CAN I DO? Firmware update? Low level format (already done)?
PLEASE HELP!
