just want to ask which tool is better for newcomer, (salvation or pc-3000portable)

for repairing and data recovery, (speacially for seagate/max/wd)

Are you trying to do this for a living OR do a recovery here and there if a customer is inquiring for it?

Also, what is your budget?

P.s. 70/80% of incoming drives failures are physical, depending on location and target market.
