Hi, I'm new here, and need help.

But don't we all......
I have a Samsung SP0802N and need a schematic for the main board. Any ides where I can find one?
I put 16v through it by mistake and blow a SMC, the one to the left of the middle screw. looking at the drive with the spindle cable to the top.
So, can about help here?

TIA
Andy

OK, here goes.

In the main pic. you can see where it sits, just to the left of that PK screw, the bottom pic is the SMC. I think it could be a diode, maybe a votreg. Anyway, what do you think? I have just DLL Palo_SVC_Manual_Eng.pdf which is great, but, does not show any components.

Pic is blurry, but seems it is a power diode. You should be able to simply 'replace' this with one from a donor PCB, no need to worry about compatibility.

Thanks Guys, that's what I was thinking, Diode, will have a look through the c&^p I have as see if I have one, failing that I will pop over to RS, I doubt if Maplin would have one.
I'll let you all know if I fix the problem.
Andy :)
