Some older equipment wont support SATA using a SATA/IDE adapter. Sometimes the SATA registers set IDX and if the equipment is waiting for 50h in the ATA register, it will wait until the cows come home.

Please show us the photo, as I havent heard of these nor can I find any info about them..

What do you want the testers for? Just to check or to repair?

you might want to find out which type of sata drives your trying to use

as they are all diffrent. sata 1,2
the unit looks like its for only testing the drives before the factory release them.
other meaning its a soak test bench.
