Hi guys!
I just have fun reading Salvation news!
We released the new version of HD Doctor Suite (Windows) and Data Compass (USB UDMA)! 02/13/2009.
I use these types of utilities long ago in PC-3000 UDMA. The list of new things in Salvation looks like a copy of what I have in PC-3000. Each time ACE releases some really new thing, the "similar" thing appears in some time at Salvation.
Hey, Salvation guys! Can you develop anything yourself?
Or Chinese developers can just snake ideas and make them look as if they were their own ones?
Repeating will make Salvation always number 2, and ACE who invents will be the first!
P S btw, great knowledge is needed to use somebody's ideas correctly. Otherwise, ideas can be spoiled...

It's normally because several years ago we saw companies "adibas", "adidos", etc. They just stole technologies,products and make remakes. And now we can see chinese company with own name! It's not ARE Laboratory or ASE Laboratory, it's Salvation data!
I can't understand why ACE guys still keep patience when their technologies stolen...Why they don't bring an action against Salvation data? There are so many evidences! I guess the most important evidence is a programm code. But we can see that Salvation still coping and coping.......
Nothing personal to chinese people because there are many clever people and they are hard-working. Except the fukcing companies who wants to earn easy money...

Don't worry , ace and sd are different. Bmw and Skoda (2 random) are cars and can drive you to destination both. But, ASSUMING YOU CAN CHOOSE, on which would you prefer to seat on?

just a thought... BMW costs 900 Euro a year for service ... The LADA costs nothing.. LMAO I still like the BMW more ;o)

They will never post messages on such topics, because they know real truth...Company which cloned ACE Laboratory products (Salvation Data) couldn't say anything more because you said all.

Everyone is copying each other, car industries, consumer electronics, etc ...even food. Thats the fact of life.
Nothing is wrong with copying ideas and make it better, providing you do not copy exact same products and layouts, well at least you improve the products.
The disadvantages of ACE over SD are:
1. SD provides full tech support till the end of the world, whereas ACE is lurking for more money and more money for their tech support which is BAD.
2. SD copying ACE? well at least they are capable of copying and modifying. Price difference are appealing to newbies.
3. ACE not answering forums as often as SD does. ACE is busy? yeah everyone is busy.
4. ACE uses email and forum to communicate through their customers, whereas SD uses TeamViewer. WYSIWYG

1. Acelab provides excellent support, but you have to own a legitamate PC3000. Price is steep
, but it worth every penny.
2. I did not hear of a single thing that SD produced is better than Acelab's product.
3. Acelab has its own website/forum, which they monitor closely and willing to help.
4. You can even get a phone support from Acelab.

You say ACE works for money.. And Salvation works for charity? making just a copy and charging money for it... but with good support

Acelab do make the best tools... However most real pro's don't need Ace support package..they just need the tools..
However their "Update" program is expensive but why should they research new models and give you the results for free? They need to earn money too.. Quite a lot I think LOL

I agree, I'm not really sure what Salvation's business plan is. Eventually they will have sold HD Doctors to everyone who wants one, and then what?

or the classic method would be to make new HDD doctor with small change.. (faster USB port ect) and only update that version..

Come on guys, it's just a business! We have our business and they have too.
Charged updates it's OK. Because it takes a lot of time and programmists as we know work hardly (maybe with beer and shrimps but it's ok)
After updates my profit always encrease because I have no time for do my own researches and I agree to pay for it.

Some business models have low initial price for equipment then they nuke the user with outrageous update / subscription fees, other do the exact contrary, other plan only to sell equipment and "build up the audience" and then sell other equipment on fidelity basis... it depends.
