i have a samsung hdd model sp0812n with corrupt firmware.i have acces on samsung service site and i get a lot of bin and programs for firmware update but i do not know what to use to do that with pc only.thank you

You need special equipment to do the work, plus there is no guarantee that you only have firmware problem.
I would suggest to take it to a pro.

Fw means rom code AND the part recorded on the platters. But there is nothing that Samsung can do for recovering user data... During years I built a giant database of firmware but totally useless without something for working with the drive...

i do not need recover,i work on a samsung dealer and i know the failure rate of samsung drives,i have my data on 4 separate drive 2 in storage box.i have few dozen of samsung drive with expired warranty and i want to fill my extratime playing.sorry for disturbing you the pro with silly question.thank you
