Just been looking at some old Maxtor 6GB drives from 1998/1999
eg
90648D3 VEGAIII
and noticed that J42 (the first of the 5 jumper pins next to the psu connector)
is marked TXD
and the one opposite it is marked RXD
Looks like they go into the DSP chip
This implies it has a Serial interface ?
Anyone ever used it ?
Do any later Maxtors (pre-Seagate takeover) have RXD/TXD ?
