My firmware's version now is YD100-15. Thanks.

Why?

Standard ATA command will do that

Abra Ka Dabra....
P.S. if the drive is working you don't need a FW update - assuming it is available.

You can use the "fwdownload" command option for hdparm under Linux.
http://www.unix.com/man-page/Linux/8/hdparm/Tim Small documents two successful Seagate firmware updates:
https://ata.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Talk:Known_issuesHowever, he cautions that "you have to be pretty sure that Linux isn't going to access the drive, or it will issue a bus reset during the firmware update process. e.g. if you need to carry out the update on a boot drive, then you could prepare the files, then reboot into single user mode, with all filesystems remounted read-only".
The man page has the following warning:
"This command (--fwdownload) is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and HAS NEVER BEEN PROVEN TO WORK and will probably destroy both the drive and all data on it. DO NOT USE THIS COMMAND."

Samsung drives need a special Flasher program to flash their ROM.
VTool and WCube can be used also. Mayby HUtil (SRV) .

The problem is not the ROM it's the rest....

P.S.
HM060HI

That's not true.
You could use DEBUG in DOS if you had the time

) . It's an ATA command (PART OF THE SPEC)
Finding the correct firmware is the hard part!

Samsung firmware update will rewrite ony ROM code and overlay code.
If you have some problem with SA, you should seek another method.
