WD HDD HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a WD MY PASSPORT ESSENTIAL SE Portable Hard Drive 1TB USB 3.0 + USB 2.0 2.5"
i set a password for it last DECEMBER

i went for a trip on JANUARY 2011

and i left it at home

today i am back and i want to use it

i key in the password

but WD system notice me that the password is incorrect


will the HDD forget my password after inactive for just a month???

tell me!!

i got precious data inside

help me

i really need your help

i dont want lose my data by juz format it

i wanna your help

Stop to panic. You could remember your Pass word but you might of forgotten one important thing. Passwords are case sensitive. Did you use upper or lower cases when you did this one when you started off. Try to use both uppper lock for your password and also use the unlock lower case keys for it.

If this one fails well then you have some other options which are not really what you would like to hear. One is DR recovery they can unlock it and another is a program but you can lose all your data using this one. Last one is that WD PW lock was discuessed here for a long time and there is a major thread on this one. Use Search and see if this one helps you out.
