I want to change The physical serial number for SAMUSUNG 40 GB harddrive... Model No: SV0412H
I have Opensuse operating system and a designing software installed on my orginal samsung hard drive SV0412H.
I had find the same Samsung Model SV0412H hard disk... but when i clone it from my original hard drive to other hard drive , the designing software start prompting serial KEY. Even the model number is same but serial number is different. But opensuse is properly running...
I am sure that Software had binded with my original Hard disk Serial number..
I want to change the serial number of Hard disk.
Can someone help me in this aspect...?

Serial no. is stored on particular modules of firmware. You need special tools like pc3000udma to modify firmware.Contact Dr pro in your area.

Contact original software vendor for help. Or just reinstall the SW with your original key

Look for Vtool, Wcube, or a factory version of Hutil.
