Samsungs D-List question

Hi, I've got a question about the D-List on Samsung drive. It says, it is the "defect maintenance cylinder list", what does it exactly store? Does it really store information that a full cylinder is bad or just blocks of it?

M-List - maintenance cylinder defect list
D-List - General defect list, building during selftest. Not important for access to user data.
