Dear children,
are in possession of two SATA HDD:
-1) ST1000DL004;
-2) ST31000528AS.
Both 1 terabyte since I'm struggling with the creation of a new machine by YOU keen on a useful tip to find out which of them was more appropriate to install the operating system!
On the premise that NOT chosen for the OS will only support files and other material.
Using the machine is still modest demands as use the computer to browse, download, and things like that!
Thanks in advance to those who respond

Dear kid,
I personally do not like Seagates, especially the ...DL..
If you can get another drive for the OS, then do so. If not, then I would set these two as a RAID 1.

labtech, why do not like the DL hdd?
I have a ST1000DL004 and works good, but if you say it will easely fail, i will change it!
Please tell me what kind of issue has this model, thank you.

Sorry, did not mean to bad mouth it like that. I guess I had a couple that were just getting on my nerve at the time in getting recovered. Just being biased in that they are too new to fail. But that happens with all types of drives, not just one brand or even models within the same family.
Just invest in extra drive for back up and can use whatever drive then.
