Hello everyone,
I have a Seagate ST2000VX008 with a corrupted service area and I'm looking for a healthy donor ROM dump to repair it.
Drive details:
- Model: ST2000VX008
- Family: 59 - Bacall
- Heads: 04
- Build: 03/25/2015 16:37 0325
- MemberId: 04
Problem (via F3 ROM Explorer):
- DL_BFWDIR module: CRC mismatch (Bad) - in both BFWCTNR copies (0 and 1)
- IAP module: CRC FFFF (Bad) - in both copies
- All other modules (DL_BFWLDR, DL_BOOTFW, DL_SFW, DL_SHELL, DL_SAPM, DL_RAPM, DL_CAPM) read OK
I have already dumped my patient ROM via SPI (CH341A) and have full read/write access to the flash chip. I only need the BFWDIR and IAP modules extracted from a healthy donor with matching family/build so I can inject them via F3 and keep my drive's own adaptive/SAPM/RAPM/CAPM data intact.
If anyone has a matching or close-enough donor dump (same family, same or close build date, same head count), I would really appreciate it if you could share it or point me in the right direction. Happy to share my patient dump for reference/comparison if that helps.
Thank you in advance!
