The Nikimi is a refurbished Quantum drive.
You're probably wasting your time trying to fix it, it broke once already and been mended!
Chuck it in the bin

PCimage thanks for that i did not know that but if a hard drive makes noise due to worn bearing can that be fixed or is not worth the time (100 GB HDD), many thanks

Most of the cases if hdd makes noise is a head failure. Head is replaced from a good condition donor hdd to retrieve data. Now, u think what to do...
you can understand now more expensive.............
Replace the hdd with a new one.
Dont waste your time to fix the Quantum drive... As stated already by pcimage
