Interesting screen shot.

I wait for your story.

I was playing around with the A6 and a Saleae 16, while I didn't get anything worth posting I decided to go back to the mcu datasheet and try and solidify some ideas and actually understand it better.

Thats some nice work hsiboy, it would be interesting to see the difference between A6 and SP-808 in what you have listed. and the screenshot looks interesting as well.

JUST RELEASED...

https://www.zuluide.com
https://github.com/rabbitholecomputing/ZuluIDE-firmware

ZuluIDE™ is a IDE computer storage emulation platform, where CD-ROM drive images are stored on a standard FAT32 or exFAT-formatted SD card. SDXC cards of up to 512GB are supported.

Features
Emulates IDE/ATAPI CD-ROM drives of any size.
Emulates ZIP100 ATAPI removable media.
Open-source firmware, licensed under the GPLv3

I have two of these, sent by the creator Alex Perez after he used my published data from this little project. I can confirm that they do work with the SP808, but, the workflow is a little bit janky when you want to change disks. No more than ZuluScsi or Bluepill Scisi or even the Russian emulator from Sintechi, so i continue to take a look when i have spare time (not very often), with the hopes of patching the SP808 so it will use a non zip drive.

Hi Hsiboy. Thank you for all the work you have done thuse far.

FYI, I have been using the ZuluIDE with my SP-808 EX since I posted last summer. I created a 512MB image that contains original ZIP250 DEMO banks. The image is a replica of a 512MB MCD CF card (16 bit FAT) so the image (SD card) can be swapped between my Windows 10 x64 box (where I mount SD and use SP Convert v2.2 to add or extract samples) as well as the SP-808/ZuluIDE without issue. Unlike some of the images floating around the internet, neither Windows nor SP will not treat it like an unformatted disk when moving between devices, will not work with SP Convert, properly respect 'eject', and so on. I just shared it at Roger the MIDI Maniacs channel but here is link for anyone that wants to use it. https://mega.nz/file/EHtjnaaR#Ggz6xqhby ... C6Vw6lZ4p0

Does anybody has and can kindly share an empty ZIP image for ZuluIDE but larger than the 100Mb which can be found on internet? Or tell how such image can be built? Having just installed ZuluIDE on a SP-808 and being locked to 100MB space on each SD is quite frustrating.... Thanks to everybody wish to help me.

I've patched the firmware. It no longer fails on ZIP disk!

Much more testing to be done before i release.

Just dumped a unformatted 100MB image file. It just contains 100*1024*1024 zeros! Does anybody tried to create and use a bigger image?

@Hsiboy interesting developments! Will you have a sysex file available when ready to release or is it more involved than that?

Here are 512MB images. One is EX formatted (via my EX) and other blank/clean with just the correct fomat and header. Work great between SP and PC(WIN10). Heve no tried mounting either IMG on a MAC. This link is good for 6 days. https://filebin.net/sv8nai92s72887mb

If you are on FB, someone created a few blank images from scratch (DD, etc.). I have not tried these. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1052576 ... iles/files

Not sure if your SP must be running 'EX' firmware for these images to work.
