You guys (helpdisc & hdrc) might have the good/best professional tool on offer..... but..

Your attitudes in the public forum totally stink and are quite childish! It makes people re-think who they are dealing with!!!

Grow up. Perhaps both of you should purchase the DUMMY GUIDE book on PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOUR for company/business owners.

this is completely your opinion, but I know from personal experience that HDRC = poorly manufactured tools, and Helpdisc = great tool of quality design. I make more success on difficult cases using tools from Helpdisc than I did with simple cases using HDRC tools.

And while this thread may have changed your opinion of the people here, the tools remain capable of defending themselves.

So quality tool vs cheap inexpensive tool....

If you read the whole thread, my opinion and experience of the helpdisc and hdrc tool is quite clear.
What I raised is nothing to do with the tools but rather the conduct/attitudes/language of the manufacturers.
Is this how they speak/conduct/relate/compose/sell themselves to their potential customers/partners in their labs/shop/seminars?

Who is denying the tool won't speak for itself? Off course it will. I am quite in a privileged position to have
access to these tools (hdrc/helpdisc), and others not mentioned. I have told of my experience of them in the first page of this thread.

Anyway, enough said on this way out of topic discussions. sorry for the out of topic contributions.
rip.

Spend some time on google patents reveals too many such tools (many almost identical in design, shape, etc to those discussed here). As far as plastic versus metal, etc. One such patenet by Western Digital which is only a few years old, suggests preference to plastic and sites the reasons why as well. There are so many such head combs and even some that serve dual purposes as well.

If You wach bouth tools, You will see that on one You do not have problems with rotating and the other one has. The other that has, have problem with friction. Friction couses problem with heith, heith problem couses contact with platters...and You know where it leads.
If we put a side who made it first ( wich I already did, and who has a patent on specific desing, wich will be a legal question....) there is a problem how fast and good can You make them.
We had few copy cats, nobady made it to serial production. We even have problems.
Plastic tools can not be used on 7200.10 or 8 or 7 on samsung tools etc etc etc...
DIY and hobby are making a lot of peopple datafree.
Imagine that surgernt had a skalpel for hobbist.
Sorry for my bad english.
