I recently purchased Data Compass and have had troubles retrieving data from deleted files, deleted partitions and formatted drives using DCEXP. Does anyone have the previous download of Data Compass (3.0) which included DR Studio? Would like to give that a go.

I think your missing the point of data compass. You can do all that without it.

I know that you can. But data compass is suppose to be able to do it, but I haven't been able to achieve it.

I've owned a DC now since January, and it is actually a great tool. Much better than the HD doctor tools I bought from them. I've recovered from quite a few drives that couldn't even be recognized by the OS but DC recognized them right away and was able to read the files. I'm actually recovering a drive right this moment that has nearly 30% bad sectors. Without DC there would have been no way I could image this drive.
A manual would be nice but most features are intuitive. If you have specific problems figuring something out just ask on this forum and someone will help you. It is a bit buggy, that's true, but it just takes some learning to work around the bugs.
It was well worth the $3800 price tag. I've already made back most of that money just on drives it was able read with no extra work on my part.

I am so thankful to you guys/gals. I've been really struggling to decide which DR product to purchase. Your opinions have been very valuable.
