hi there
my problem is that my hdd got sized to 8 gb at first an then 0 gb it wont show up in explorer but hardwaremanager still finds it but cant access it bios says 0gb, too.
some days before it broke down some files were corrupt.
i try'd a firmware update but nothing changed.
i donwloaded the "HDD Capacity Restore" from this site and all it says is "ATA Password" cant do it
is there anything i can do myself or is this a job for an "expert"

the data is saved on dvd so theres nothing to worry about i just want my drive to work if its possible without paying for that amount i could buy a new one....
before the drive died on me i saw that the Transfer rate was about 3-4mb
dont know if its important but if the drive is plugged windows (dont hate me =P) needs three times more then normal to start
and what i dont get is why does my drive has a password that i dont know

To save yourself problems buy a new drive it is cheaper and will be better for you in the long run. Stay away from Seagate and WD drives. Maybe look into Samsung it will be better for you
