Since you guys make the disk nuts and bolts could you explain how the todays hard disk deal with the power interruption and the head stack parking?

Are they parked securely or not?

Spildit, you are partially right.

The drive can safely take out the heads, using the spinning platter's mechanical power, if the main power is down.
The only true is, if the main power is down during write cycle, the data may be will damaged.

Yes, this is correct.
If the external drive is "safe removed", than it is safe to turn of any time.
