Hy guys. I have a big problem. Some days ago i "built" a new pc. Evrything works fine for 2 days, i install windows 7, all drivers, & copy about 200 gb on this new pc over the external hard drive. This is pc for my friend, when i came to him and turn on the pc appered the message disk boot failed. insert system disk and press enter. After this i i went in bios and saw that there isen't hard drive. After this i connected and reconnected the sata cable and the hard came back. One day after appears this message windows detected a hard disk problem backup your files immediately to prevent information loss, and then contact the computer manufacturer to determine if you need to repair or replace the disk, and in event viewer: Windows Disk Diagnostic detected a S.M.A.R.T fault on disk Samsung HD502HJ ATA Device (volumes C:\D:\). This disk migh fail; bakcup your computer now..... Now this samsung disk from yesterday is in my computer i check the disk with hdd tune, seatools( SMART check ok, short drive self test...) and chkdsk, and nothing found, also i copy from this hard to my hard disk 120gb of pictures, misic movies without problem, also nothing wrong in event viewer. Now i ask you if can be somthing with sata controller on the mbo or is sure problem on hard drive. And if is sure problem with hard drive why all of tests that i use pass... Sorry for my english. The mbo is ASRock > Products > M3A770DE. Please give me an answer because, i must be sure that is the hard drive, than i put a new one & reinstall evrything, or if is the mbo i just need to change it and i don't need to reinstall all...

I don't hold out much hope, but you may like to disable Command Queuing (NCQ).

See this thread:
